Wednesday 23rd January, 2019, Katrin Budde, member of the German Bundestag, and Dr. Verena Späthe, member of the Sachsen-Anhalt Landtag, visited the APK AG production site in Merseburg in order to get first-hand information on our innovative solutions made in Merseburg for the fast-growing problem of plastics waste.
Both politicians were welcomed by Klaus Wohnig and Mike Kaina, members of the APK AG Management Board, who informed them about the Newcycling® Technology and the upcoming launch of the new production line. They also gave an overview on the promising future perspectives of the company and the various opportunities for its employees as well as for the Merseburg site.
After the visit of the new production plant the invitees were deeply impressed by the positive evolution of the company and by the unique recycling process which is the first one to produce plastic regranulates for reuse in multilayer packagings, the so-called Newcycling®.
